We offer a premium mineral photography service led by our Lead Photographer, Katelyn J. Mootz, and Creative Director, Jeremy M. Skiechs. Through their extensive experience, Katelyn and Jeremy have established themselves among the leading professionals in the field of mineral photography.
Their work is immediately recognizable for its exceptional sharpness, clean presentation, technical precision, and refined aesthetic. Each image is carefully produced to accurately capture the unique character, color, luster, transparency, and overall beauty of the specimen, while maintaining the highest possible standard of photographic quality.
Because each specimen presents its own technical challenges, the photography and post-production process can vary considerably in complexity. The typical turnaround time for a fully stacked, professionally edited, and completed photograph is approximately 4–8 weeks, although more complex specimens or extensive post-production requirements may require additional time.
Final images are delivered as high-resolution digital files via secure file transfer or email, ensuring that no image quality or detail is lost during delivery. We offer this premium service at a set rate. Below, you will find a complete breakdown of pricing and what is included with each photograph.

To have specimens photographed by our staff, you can ship us your specimen(s). You can also book a photography appointment at the East Coast, Gem, Mineral and Fossil Show in Springfield, MA, as well as the Hardrock Summit in Denver, CO. We offer our services at shows on a first come, first serve basis, so to ensure your specimen(s) will be able to be shot, reach out and book your appointment in advance.
