Appraisals

We offer professional appraisal services for individual mineral specimens as well as entire collections, for both personal valuation and insurance purposes. Depending on the size, scope, and caliber of the collection, the appraisal process may extend beyond a simple email exchange and require a more comprehensive evaluation.

Please note that appraisals cannot be conducted based solely on photographs. Many of the critical characteristics that determine a mineral specimen's quality, condition, rarity, and value cannot be accurately assessed through images alone. To begin the evaluation process, we may require a comprehensive selection of detailed photographs and videos taken under various lighting conditions, along with written information regarding each specimen's history, provenance, acquisition, and any other relevant documentation.

We specialize in high-end and world-class specimens. For collections of significant size or noteworthy stature, an in-person assessment will be necessary. We are available to travel for special on-site evaluations.
